SoloLearn C++ Completed

Admittedly, this post isn't as "live" as I originally intended.  Nevertheless, I figured that I might as well post an update for this development.  For the past week, I have been studying through SoloLearn.  It did a great job in building the basic foundation and understanding of C++.  Although I am not an expert, I believe that this has given me great motivation to keep moving forward with C++.  SoloLearn is completely free and I highly recommend everyone to check it out. 

Nevertheless, I completed the C++ Tutorial and acquired a certificate of completion.  Granted, this isn't an accredited school by any means, it is a nice start to get things moving.  Personally, I am a visual and kinetic learner, which made SoloLearn a great match through examples and fill-in-the-blanks questions.

CPPForSchool.com: Array - Single Dimension Set 1 Assignment 6

6. P is one-dimensional array of integers. Write a C++ function to efficiently search for a data VAL from P. If VAL is present in the array then the function should return value 1 and 0 otherwise. For this assignment, I was not able to decipher what VAL was supposed to represent.  Presumably, it stood for value, but I was not 100% sure so I went ahead and reviewed the sample code.  With that said, I coded this assignment using functions once again.  Also, using bool was quite interesting.  I was unaware of how flexible bool can be utilized.  I have learned a great deal with this assignment.  Nevertheless, below is my source code along with the sample code for comparison.

7. Write a program to swap the values of two variables. This program was not too difficult.  Swapping values between two variables will require a third variable, specifically to act as a placeholder for temporary storage.  Basically, once the user inputs a value for the first variable, it is immediately placed into temporary storage.  Once the user inputs the second value, it is copied over to the first variable followed by copying the placeholder value into the second variable. To keep things simple, I tested the code by inputting 1 as x value and 2 for the y value.
